A gift for children in Alachua County

Put the next book
in a child’s hands.

A book of their own. A story to share. Your gift helps Gainesville Thrives bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to children in our community, free to their families.

In memory of Dolly Parton 1946–2026

Let her love of books live on.

Honor Dolly with a gift that helps local children discover the joy of reading. Each book is a way to carry her work forward, here at home.

Giving in lieu of flowers

Your gift stays close to home

More books.
More time reading together.

Gainesville Thrives covers the cost of books and mailing. The Imagination Library sends an age-appropriate book each month to enrolled children, from birth until their fifth birthday.

Remembering Dolly

A lasting gift,
in lieu of flowers.

Dolly’s family has asked that gifts in lieu of flowers go to the Imagination Library. A gift to Gainesville Thrives in her memory supports our local Imagination Library program and the families we serve in Alachua County.

If you prefer to give to the national tribute fund named by her family, you can do so through the Imagination Library’s tribute page.

There’s more than one way to give.
